The 10 minutes pre-consultation is free and scheduled at certain times in my week. The purpose of the call is to “meet” each other to see if we flow. There are many types of coaching styles and it is important that my style is suitable to you, your personality, character and expectations, and vice versa, and that you are the type of client I am able to help. It is important for us to be able to have an understanding of one another for the coaching relationship to be a successful one and to ensure we will have a great working relationship. Our first session is 120 minutes (2 Hrs) in length and is designed to get an understanding of what is going on in your life, to map your history, past and present challenges and to gauge where you may need guidance. By the end of the session there will be outcomes and practical exercises for you to do for our next session.
In follow up sessions, we have found a rhythm and our way to work together. Each session you will likely have developments from our last session. It is a good idea to keep a “Goal Diary” and to jot down pointers of items you want to discuss between our sessions to make the most of the time we have together. Coaching session frequency is up to the client, however it is important to remember that consistency is what matters in order to move toward your goals. The below details a rhythm my clients go by and can help you to decide what you need:
Intense: once a week
For attention to urgent outcomes or a time of life where greater support is needed.
General: every 3 to 4 weeks
A desire for steady progress towards your goals.
Relaxed: every 5 to 6-weeks
An as an when you need approach.
