How's your mindset when you meet people?

Each person we encounter in life is a whole world to be discovered. We each hold a unique perspective, understanding, & interpretation of life stemming from the experiences that shape our very own system of thoughts & beliefs.

.

It's very easy to overlook how unique we all are, particularly with those who may be closest to us.

.

Sometimes our expectation of others & situations leads us to forget the importance of staying compassionate and open. Somehow the more we know or expect of someone, the more we assume they know what we need & want. Assumptions can only give rise to conflict brought by miscommunication, misunderstanding, judgement, criticism, annoyance & frustration.

.

When we leave judgement at the door, we let our hearts lead each encounter. We allow for a free-flowing experience in the present, for deep listening and understanding that means we hear with our heart, see with clarity, and create a genuine connection with one another. In this way, we may feel full wonder, joy and curiosity, expanding our life experience in ways only possible via the eyes and ears of love, compassion, kindness aEach person we encounter in life is a whole world to be discovered. By opening our senses and staying present, we discover new ways to be, enrich our experience with others, broker a new understanding of the world, and see others simply as good.

When we approach our relationships like this, we expand our whole being. We access the synergies that come with unity and synchronicity, unique to the combination of you and the other, where there leaves no space for criticism, fear or judgement.

In practice:

.

1. Think of someone that triggers / challenges you.

2. How do you judge them?

3. If you leave out that judgement & hear & see with compassion, what do you notice differently about them?

4. Can you be more understanding of them? Can you forgive them?
